Incarnation

This course explores the profound concept of incarnation, examining it through various perspectives that reveal the interconnectedness of the material and spiritual worlds. Beginning with an understanding of four primary worldviews—material, spiritual, priestly, and incarnational—the course explores the nature of reality and how these views shape our relationship with the divine and the world around us. The class then examines two significant instances of incarnation: the presence of the divine in the universe and the life of Jesus as fully human and fully divine. These discussions broaden into a universal understanding of incarnation, highlighting its implications for how we perceive the sacredness of life and our role within creation. Finally, the class emphasizes the practical aspects of living out an incarnational worldview, encouraging participants to recognize the divine in everyday life and act in ways that reveal God’s presence in the world.
