Meditation & Reflection
Meditation
In the sacred narratives, solidarity emerges as a quiet yet steadfast companion, though its name may not be explicitly voiced. The sacred scroll unfurls tales of Israelites, weaving an intricate fabric that binds them to the Creator and to the downtrodden. Through the winding corridors of time, this devotion resonates, beckoning us to delve deeper into our spiritual lineage.
Moses, called forth to liberate, embodies the dance of skepticism and surrender. Hesitations falter, only to yield to the unwavering promise: “I am by your side.” In these words, the essence of solidarity blooms—an alliance forged in the crucible of liberation. Together, two forces march toward freedom’s horizon.
Jesus’s birth radiates an emblem of unity—the Divine enfleshed. Love boundless takes human form, immersing itself in the human journey. Amidst empire’s shadow, Jesus’s journey begins, enmeshed yet resolute. His flight from oppression reveals a truth: God’s love is interwoven with the marginalized, the cast aside, the oppressed.
On earthly terrain, compassion springs forth, camaraderie takes root. Among the derided, Jesus emerges, shunning grandeur. Instead, he walks the path of the marginalized, a path echoed in the stories of Artesia Community Guild and Spanish Harlem. Transformation kindles—a legacy shaped by companionship with the systematically sidelined, residing at the edges of society.
