The Beatitudes

The Beatitudes reveals a deep and transformative teaching that invites us into the very heart of Jesus’ message. These teachings are often misunderstood, with many perceiving them as lofty ideals that are disconnected from the struggles and realities of everyday life. “They hardly ever understand them, unfortunately, and as a rule look upon them as a counsel of perfection, without any real application to everyday life.” This misunderstanding comes from a lack of the “Spiritual Key” that is necessary to unlock their true meaning. Without this key, the Beatitudes appear as unattainable ideals, but once understood spiritually, they become deeply practical principles that can guide us in everyday life.
