I would like to thank you both for this video. Just a comment about the quote “We are spiritual beings having a human experience.” Deepak Chopra may have made it popular, but I think the essence of this comes directly from Swami Vivekananda, who was a disciple of Sri RamaKrishna. Swamiji always lamented that we don’t know our true nature. He popularized the teachings of the Hindu scriptures in 19th Century America. This is actually the main teaching of the Advaita (non-dual) Vedanta. Although the RK mission and Vedanta Society are popular and have many branches in the USA and worldwide, I don’t think young americans know about Vivekananda much. They do yoga, but they haven’t read the books –Raja Yoga, KarmaYoga, Bhakti Yoga, and Jnan Yoga.
Also, Swamiji and his guru Ramakrishna were extremely secular. In fact, they were proponents of the thought that the righteous path is the only path–you could be an Atheist and still be spiritual. To them God existed in all forms, and divinity is in all.
