Sample Response to Prompt 3
How does it feel in your body to let go of “me” and “mine”?
It’s like a knot untangling in slow motion, not rushed, just loosening thread by thread. My chest feels less armored, like I’ve been wearing a heavy coat indoors for too long. My stomach stops bracing, like it finally trusts the world isn’t coming for me. There’s an ache in my throat—not sadness exactly, but the ghost of a held-back cry. My hands fall open, empty but not hollow, like they know they’re meant to rest. And in the quiet that follows, it’s as if the air breathes me instead of the other way around.
